Beginning as a volunteer at the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center’s Stranding Response Team, Christina spent 14 years working with stranded marine mammals and sea turtles, performing duties ranging from rehabilitation to writing grant proposals. Her work inspired her to establish Eco Maniac Company in 2008, a retail business that offers alternatives to single-use plastics. In 2013, Christina became self-employed, full-time. She also serves as an environmental consultant and is currently working on several projects, including a state-wide marine debris research project, a Reusable Bags 4 Youth Program and a litter-prevention program: Keep It Beachy Clean.
